I scoured tabloid magazines and newspapers for fragments, text, and images that grabbed my attention. I transferred these bits to canvas, sewing them into small stuffed pillows. I then doused each piece in thick acrylic, creating a kind of mediated media petit four. The two-dimensional became three-dimensional, quite literally coming off the page. When installed, these pieces were mixed and matched to create new meaning other than initially intended.
