Deb Lacusta is an artist, filmmaker, and writer. Using language as a medium, she re-contextualizes meaning using images/materials from popular culture and the urban environment. Her work examines the push-pull of the masculine-feminine, asking “what if?” and “then what?” — shifting perspectives to create new meaning. With an extensive background in theater and improvisation, she creates video performances using her own body, text, and media. As a writer, she has written for TV and the stage.
